How we work

We check the facts a decision rests on before we form a view. You hear what we found, including anything that does not suit the plan.

The work runs in a fixed order.

  1. Test

    We start with the evidence. We read the numbers, see how the business runs, and hear from the people who run it before we form a view.

  2. Recommend

    We give one clear recommendation, with the evidence behind it and the risks we see. Our name is on it.

  3. Stand behind it

    We stay in touch while you act on the recommendation, and we tell you if the facts change.

  • Confidential

    What you tell us stays between us and the people you choose to involve.

  • One person throughout

    The person who scopes the work does it, from the first conversation to the final recommendation.

  • Specialists

    Where a decision also needs a tax adviser or a lawyer, we bring in independent specialists we trust. They advise in their own name, and we coordinate their work with ours.

  • Written down

    We agree the scope and the fee in writing before work starts, and our recommendation reaches you in writing.
